The purpose of this study was to identify patterns change in students’ awareness of, interest and engagement with sustainability issues during the process acclimatisation their PBL engineering studies, look for differences between disciplines respect these aspects. This used a longitudinal qualitative approach theory-led thematic analysis. There were 16 participants total, interviewed at 3 intervals period 18 months faculty Denmark. authors found pattern increase awareness, interest, throughout three semesters study. Some visible, especially sustainability-oriented others. Most students who increased also likely engage further topic. That built up from individual engagement, professional some, into institutional public sphere engagement. findings are timely given pressure faced by education incorporate issues. It provides avenues educating graduates will display suggests as potential avenue explore educators.
